ViSports Nutrition was created as a result of the need for a website that would help inform youth athletes, their parents and coaches about the specifics of how to eat properly as an athlete.
My oldest son was getting into training as a higher level soccer and handball player (he played for the Canadian Junior National Team) and I wanted to know more about what he could do to train more efficiently. As a result, I started to add to my knowledge I had already gathered as a high level coach so that I could help him get better. I spent countless hours reading every book, research paper and position paper I could find from all of the major organizations in training and sports nutrition. I have registered for and have completed two sports nutrition courses from IYCA (International Youth Conditioning Association) and FCU (Football Coach University).
As a result of my expertise, I am now an author on three different websites as well as running two sites on my own. I have started a public speaking tour in my part of Canada giving presentations to school children.
